The Giovanni van Bronckhorst Foundation and ChatLicense are partnering for the future of a new generation. The Foundation is now providing families with a “digital driver’s license” for the online world to take home. This allows the Foundation’s existing educational program to extend into the home environment for both children and parents.
For over 14 years, the Giovanni van Bronckhorst Foundation has been dedicated to helping children—for whom opportunities are not a given—grow into the captains of their own futures. Parents play a crucial role in this process, too; when they are empowered, they are better able to support their children.
Jacqueline Jonkhart of the Giovanni van Bronckhorst Foundation notes: “We are delighted with this wonderful partnership, which truly aims for lasting impact: as the child grows, the family grows along with them. Free access to ChatLicense is vital because it brings the learning environment right into the home—into the families’ private lives. In a world where children are active online at increasingly younger ages and with greater intensity, digital resilience is no longer a luxury but a necessity. It is not just about screen time, but about issues such as online grooming, privacy, cyberbullying, fake news, and digital identity. Children need to learn how to navigate this world—and parents need to be able to guide them through it.”
Marjolein van Tilburg, founder of ChatLicense, adds: “For us, this truly feels like a home game. To help children become captains of their own online futures, our app serves to reinforce and embed the program the Foundation has already established. ChatLicense is there for families in their daily lives, providing ongoing support at home.”
