What a blast! The start of the new school year is extra special for incoming first-year secondary school children. This is why the municipality of Rotterdam teamed up with several organizations to organize the “Be the Future” festival. With this, they offer all first-year students a fair and equal start, making sure all students feel supported regardless of their background.

Joab de Lang from the municipality of Rotterdam: “The transition to middle school can be exciting, but it’s especially a time filled with new chances and possibilities. We arranged backpacks full of necessities and important information about digital rights, cyber resilience and responsible use of smartphones and social media. In this way, first-years know who they can turn to when things get difficult, and how to responsibly tackle challenges of this day and age. We wish all first-years a wonderful start and a future where everyone receives equal opportunities, both offline and online.”

As a proud partner, ChatLicense gifts all parents and first-year students of Rotterdam one year of ChatLicense, made possible in collaboration with the municipality.
